Originally I had a broker that I worked with 3 months and still missed the proposed closed date.After these issues I reached out to Larry at 1st capital.Larry was able step in and help me close on a chattel loan. Larry warned me ahead that it still may take around 60 days to get everything settled but with such a bad experience before I was willing to wait.Larry was able to get everything settled in less than 30 days. The process was started and ended in the same month.Larry and his team get my full recommendation.All my questions were answered asap, communication was clear and consistent.Larry walked me through my first purchase, every step of the way.If/when I buy in the future, Larry and his team is the 2nd phone call I plan to make right after my reality agent.

Working with Larry and heather for my mortgage was amazing, I ‘m not being dramatic, I shopped around for a lender and when I spoke with Larry I was blown away by his knowledge and attention to detail. It was 25 years since I last purchased a home, and the rules for purchasing a home have changed significantly. In addition to shopping around for a competitive loan rate, they educated me with Delaware’s unique mortgage requirements. They provided routine updates with all processes; including the mortgage application, appraisals, underwriting, and closing instructions. Lauren essentially held my hand throughout the finance and closing process, helping me navigate the online submission of essential documents, as well as for clarifications when necessary. Furthermore, they provided me with recommendations for a local attorney, insurance company options, inspectors, as well as their favorite local restaurants (Larry is a foodie). Their customer service exceeded my expectations and I recommend 1st Capitol Mortgage without reservation.

I have used the services of 1st Capitol Mortgage two times. Each time the process proved to be easy and painless. The requests for information from them were clear and unambiguous and as a result I was able to get all information to them concerning my finances in a timely fashion and the refinance loan was approved quickly.
My wife and I contacted Larry Knopf last year inquiring about doing a refinance on our home loan. Mr. Knopf did the normal procedure taking our information, such as ss # to run our credit. He came back and informed us on things we needed to do to build our credit scores higher. And to check back 6 months to a year to revisit, in which we did and I must say he was totally correct. We started this time and less than one month we were able to close on our refinancing of home loan. And he helped us save almost $700.00 per month on our new loan. I spoke with Larry Knopr approximately 2 years ago and he guided me on what I needed to focus on to improve my credit to be able to by my first home. Since this was the first time purchasing a home I had a lot of anxiety about the entire process but Larry and Tim were there by my side the entire time and guided my through the home buying process. By the time we put an offer on our dream home to the time of closing was approximately a month. We even came in lower for closing costs (approx. $3,000) then expected. When I first got in contact with Larry at 1st Capitol Mortgage, Inc, a year and half ago, I had less than (way less) desirable credit and NO experience with the home buying process. I just knew I wanted to purchase my first home from a builder where I had my eye on a specific lot. Prior to speaking to Larry I was rejected by 2 other Mortgage Brokers simply because my numbers were not where they would like them to be.
